BonJour Maximus French Press
BonJour is known for its high quality line of French press coffee makers as well as other kitchen products. The Maximus French Press line is a example of this. These coffee makers are available in a variety of styles including brushed stainless steel, polished stainless steel, copper and even a candy apple red version. The classic design includes a borosilicate glass carafe, stainless steel frame, domed lid, stylish plastic handle and the BonJour Flavor Lock that helps to keep the brew tasting fresh. In addition, a special filtering lid helps keep sediments from your coffee cup, although it is still recommended to use coarsely ground coffee to minimize the sediments.
BonJour Maximus Replacement Carafe
There isn’t much that can go wrong with a French press coffee maker. There is no heating element to burn out, water tubes that can become calcified, or digital timers that can go bad. Occasionally a new filter for the plunger may need to be purchased, but that’s rare. By far the most commonly replaced part of a French press is the carafe. Although borosilicate glass is heat resistant and stronger than ordinary glass, it is still glass, it is still glass and dropping it to the ground will usually result in a broken carafe. If this happens, it is not necessary to buy an entire new French press as Company also produces replacement carafes. The replacement for the 8-cup Maximus is the BonJour 53315 carafe and the replacement for the 12-cup Maximus is the BonJour 53316 carafe.
